<div id="job-desription" class="INHERIT DEFAULT-UL basis-0 flex-grow ng-tns-c35-2"><p>The Air Ambulance Service provides two very important functions, Helicopter Emergency Medical Services (HEMS) and The Children’s Air Ambulance (TCAA) which provides paediatric transfers across the UK. Our objective is to save lives, utilising specialist pilots, doctors, and paramedics and with our work centered on saving lives, improving clinical outcomes and being able to react quickly and efficiently to emergencies.</p><p>We are at the forefront of innovative clinical care, and we challenge boundaries.</p><p>Every day our charity is tasked with a unique set of missions which we respond to with our fantastic services, all of which are funded entirely by voluntary donations, trading and fundraising activities we undertake. The impact we make with our services is to keep people alive, keep families together, to let children grow into adults and to enable the NHS to carry out more work than they would have been able to without our support.</p><p>We also impact our communities by creating jobs, taking actions to improve the environment, bringing people together as volunteers and creating worthwhile training and experience opportunities.</p><p><strong>Job Title:</strong> Concessions Manager</p><p><strong>Location:</strong> George House, Asda, Magna Park, Lutterworth</p><p><strong>Part Time:</strong> 10 hours</p><p><strong>Hourly Salary:</strong> £13.23</p><p><strong>Closing Date: </strong>16th June 2025</p><p><strong>Job Purpose</strong><br>You will be responsible for managing the concession, ensuring all sales targets are achieved, and adhering to concession and The Air Ambulance Service policies and procedures. Responsible for guiding and managing a group of individuals, both employees and volunteers to achieve specific goals and objectives. You will provide direction, support, and motivation to the team members, delegate tasks, monitor progress, and ensure effective communication within the team. Proactively support and encourage both personal and professional development of your team. You will also manage stock levels, and ensure the storeroom is maintained and the shop floor is fully stocked. </p><p>The manager will need to present and maintain high standards of shop merchandising and visual layout, complete all shop administration inclusive of cash handling, and adhere to all aspects of health and safety</p><p><br>Key Responsibilities</p><p>• Ensure all shop sales targets are achieved in line with projected sales as given by Concession and The Air Ambulance Service.<br>• Adhere to Concession Set Price list for all items sold.<br>• Be an ambassador of The Air Ambulance Service and provide information to the Concession team as and when required.<br>• Adhere to Concession Head Office policies and Procedures.<br>• Ensure the storeroom is maintained and shop floor is fully stocked ready for each sale.<br>• Present and maintain high standards of shop merchandising and visual layout at all times.<br>• Complete all shop administration inclusive of cash handling, accurately and to deadline, ensuring company policies and procedures are adhered to.<br>• Adhere to all aspects of health and safety complying with legal regulations to provide a safe working environment for staff.<br>• Plan and organizes daily workload, encouraging effective communication, setting objectives, and fostering a positive team spirit with colleagues.<br>• Provide cover for other shops as required by the Area Manager, in the case of management absences planned or emergency within reason.<br>• Assist the Area Manager in any tasks and responsibilities within the spirit of the position.<br>• Undertake any duties that may reasonably be requested by the line manager or Director or Senior Manager.</p><p>Compliance Responsibilities<br>As a manager, in addition to specific compliance requirements with your area of expertise, you also hold responsibility in your team for:<br>• Health & Safety and Environment.<br>• Safeguarding<br>• Data Protection<br>• Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion<br>• Quality<br>You are expected and encouraged to raise and escalate appropriately any potential breaches or areas for improvement regarding the above.</p><p><br>Person Specification</p><p>• Demonstrable evidence of behaviour in line with the core values of TAAS throughout career to date.<br>• Able to demonstrate effective people management experience<br>• Collaborative approach to achieving departmental and wider organisational objectives<br>• Passion for the work that TAAS does<br>• Knowledge of business management skills.<br>• Commercial awareness.<br>• Ability to demonstrate creativity and innovation.<br>• Passion for customer service.<br>• Visual merchandising skills, having an eye for detail.<br>• Ability to plan and prioritize workloads for themselves and the shop team.<br>• Excellent verbal and written communication and working knowledge of email and Microsoft Office.<br>• The ability to use mathematics in analysing sales reports and data.<br>• Ability to travel to other sites and locations as advised.<br>• Willingness to contribute to own professional/personal development and that of the trading company.<br>• Ability to work autonomously and to use your own initiative.<br> </p><p>The role is subject to a Basic DBS check.</p><p><strong>Environment</strong></p><p>TAAS is an inclusive working environment where Equality, Diversity and Human Rights are guiding principles, individuals are respected and a value of having a diverse workforce is recognised.
