<dt class="rm-fieldTitle">Description</dt><dd class="rm-fieldData"><p><strong>Quality Manager | Consumer Goods Manufacturer | Uxbridge</strong></p><div> </div><div><p>Our client is a leading UK company supplying fun, licensed children's products to the UK and EU Markets. </p><p>Due to continued growth we are supporting them in the appointment of a Quality Manager to help maintain their commitment to safety and continuous market share.</p><p><strong>Role:</strong></p><p>The Quality Manager will be an experienced, skilled Manager of Quality assurance and Quality control in manufacturing and distribution environments ideally within Far East locations.</p><p>Responsible for safety, quality, compliance and ethical issues for all items distributed.</p><p>A practical 'hands on' manager able to handle many licensed projects simultaneously, work calmly under pressure whilst maintaining excellent attention to detail and customer attention.</p><p>Experienced problem solver, able to work effectively to implement practical, effective corrective actions (system and product) improving product and processes.</p><p><strong>About you:</strong></p><p>To be considered for this role you will have a broad business experience including quality, product safety, quality, systems & processes, and operational areas in food contact plastics, printing and some textile. <br><br>An engineering discipline would be advantageous in order to understand the product manufacturing and the risks associated with product design execution.. </p><p><strong>Essential Key elements:</strong></p><ul><li>Minimum 5 years experience in Consumer Goods or similar environment is essential</li><li>Ability to determine product and component specific test requirements, generating product qualification/Test Plan documents, conduct risk assessments and all documentation to maintain required technical files</li><li>Able to provide compliance packaging copy to our clients design department in a timely manner.</li><li>Work to continually monitor product integrity performance in market and ensure effective & timely actions of unacceptable safety/quality issues.</li><li>Ability to oversee and achieve factory auditing. Understanding of Technical and Ethical Auditing, to meet customer needs and maintain HOX Global standards - FCA, SMETA, BSCI are good examples.</li><li>Develop, implement and monitor QA policies and procedures</li><li>Develop / introduce and maintain global product safety design requirements and guidelines.</li><li>Manage product safety reporting and analysis</li><li>Working knowledge of safety regulations and directives - UK and EU essential including Food contact and new General Product Safety Regulations and some Global preferred.</li><li>Maintain and continued development of consumer complaint and returns analysis system to be used in Quality Improvement.</li></ul><p><strong>BBBH33475</strong></p></div></dd>
