<dt class="rm-fieldTitle">Description</dt><dd class="rm-fieldData"><p class="p1"><strong>Interim Group Financial Controller (6 months) | </strong><strong>London (Hybrid 3 days in, 2 days remote) | £100,000 - £120,000, bonus, 25 days hol, healthcare, enhanced pension | PE Backed Logistics</strong></p><p class="p1"><strong>May/June 2025 Start required</strong></p><p class="p1">A high-growth, PE-backed international logistics group is seeking an exceptional <span class="s1"><strong>Interim Group Financial Controller</strong></span> to join their London-based finance function during a period of significant transformation and expansion.</p><p class="p1">This is a critical role with high visibility across the organisation. You'll work closely with the Group Finance Director and CFO to lead on all aspects of financial reporting, compliance and consolidation across multiple European entities.</p><p class="p1"><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul class="MailOutline"><li>'Hit the ground running' and take ownership of the group finance function</li><li>Lead the year-end close process and manage the relationship with external auditors</li><li>Deliver accurate and timely group-level reporting (monthly, quarterly, annually) under IFRS</li><li>Oversee the preparation of consolidated financial statements across the group</li><li>Ensure tax, legal and financial regulatory compliance across jurisdictions</li><li>Own and evolve internal controls and the group's risk and control matrix</li><li>Develop and implement group accounting policies and control frameworks</li><li>Support group restructures and lead on all aspects of acquisition accounting</li><li>Manage intercompany reconciliations and eliminations</li><li>Lead, develop and mentor the group reporting team</li><li>Stay ahead of IFRS changes and manage implementations</li><li>Promote best practice and continuous improvement across finance functions</li><li>Travel to European cluster offices as required (no more than once per month)</li></ul><h3><strong>What We're Looking For:</strong></h3><ul class="MailOutline"><li>ACA, ACCA, CIMA qualified with significant post-qualified experience</li><li>Proven experience in a Financial Controller role within a leveraged/PE-backed environment</li><li>Strong technical accounting expertise, particularly around IFRS and consolidations</li><li>Effective leader and collaborator, able to work cross-functionally and internationally</li><li>Excellent communication skills - confident with senior stakeholders and external partners</li><li>Experience in manufacturing, FMCG, food or supply chain is beneficial but not essential</li><li>A proactive mindset, high integrity, and a strong drive for excellence</li></ul><p>Zachary Daniels and our client are both equal opportunity employers.
