<h3 class="theme-panel-header text-2xl pb-6 theme-vacancy-section-title">About the role</h3><p><strong>We are seeking field based candidates to cover our Southern UK region. This expansive territory spans from Carmarthen and Truro in the west, through the South Coast and Greater London, over to Thanet in the east. Major operational hubs include Cardiff, Bristol, Southampton, Reading, and the surrounding London areas.</strong></p><p>We’re looking for a Regional Facilities Manager to oversee the day-to-day upkeep and maintenance of stores across Matalan’s Central region. This role plays a key part in ensuring stores remain safe, compliant, and maintained to a high standard, while supporting the wider business through effective facilities management and long-term asset planning.</p><p>Key responsibilities include:</p><ul><li>Carrying out regular store condition surveys to identify priority works and asset improvement opportunities</li><li>Developing asset risk plans and identifying future maintenance requirements</li><li>Managing competitive quotations for both revenue and capital works</li><li>Prioritising preventative maintenance and capital investment to reduce future reactive spend</li><li>Preparing business cases and capital works proposals for approval</li><li>Supporting tender processes, contractor management, and supplier performance reviews</li><li>Working closely with Retail Operations, Help Desk teams, and Head Office stakeholders</li><li>Conducting cleaning and waste audits across the estate</li><li>Acting as a key contact in the absence of senior FM team members</li></ul><p>This is a fantastic opportunity to join a fast-paced, forward-thinking retailer where you can make a visible impact across a large multi-site estate.</p><div class="absolute bottom-2 right-2"><button onclick="scrollToTop()" class="theme-primary p-2 rounded-lg flex"> <i translate="no" class="material-symbols-outlined"> arrow_upward </i> </button></div>
