We're looking for an experienced Fleet Manager to take ownership of the safety, compliance, maintenance and availability of our HGV and trailer fleet. Working as part of a two-Fleet-Manager structure across a seven-day operation, you'll lead day-to-day fleet maintenance activities, minimise vehicle downtime, ensure compliance with DVSA and Operator Licence requirements, and manage supplier performance to deliver a safe, reliable and cost-effective fleet operation. You'll work closely with Transport Operations and Planning teams to maximise fleet availability while driving continuous improvements in performance, efficiency and cost control.&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:&nbsp;</strong></p><ul><li>Manage the maintenance, compliance and availability of our HGV and trailer fleet.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Take ownership of Vehicle Off Road (VOR) activity and drive reductions in downtime.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Oversee planned preventative maintenance, including servicing, safety inspections and MOT schedules.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Ensure fleet maintenance activities meet DVSA standards and Operator Licence requirements.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Manage and challenge external maintenance providers, dealerships and breakdown suppliers to deliver agreed service levels.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Monitor, review and control fleet maintenance expenditure.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Investigate recurring defects and vehicle issues, driving corrective action and continuous improvement.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Work closely with Transport Operations and Planning teams to minimise operational disruption.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Maintain accurate fleet records, maintenance documentation and reporting.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Support fleet projects, vehicle introductions and future fleet investment planning.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Lead and support Fleet Supervisors and fleet administration activity as required.&nbsp;</li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><p>We're looking for someone who can demonstrate:&nbsp;</p><ul><li>Previous experience managing an HGV and trailer fleet within a transport, logistics or distribution environment.&nbsp;</li><li>Strong knowledge of commercial vehicle maintenance, inspections, servicing and defect management.&nbsp;</li><li>Good understanding of DVSA regulations and Operator Licence compliance requirements.&nbsp;</li><li>Experience managing external suppliers and maintenance providers.&nbsp;</li><li>Strong commercial awareness, with experience reviewing maintenance costs, quotations and supplier performance.&nbsp;</li><li>Excellent organisational and decision-making skills in a fast-paced operational environment.&nbsp;</li><li>Experience using fleet management, telematics and Microsoft Office systems.&nbsp;</li><li>Transport Manager CPC qualification is advantageous.&nbsp;</li><li>42.5 hours per week Working across Friday-Tuesday.</li></ul><h3>Additional Information</h3><ul></ul><p>Along with your benefits package we also offer a wide range of perks for our colleagues:</p><p>Frasers Champion- Our employees are at the heart of our business and we ensure individuals are recognised every single month for their hard work.
