<h2>About the role</h2><p>We are seeking a skilled Credit Controller to join our dedicated team of five, ensuring smooth and efficient financial operations. In this role, you will manage customer accounts by handling overdue invoices, processing payments, reconciling accounts, and releasing held orders. This position requires strong organisational skills, excellent communication, and a proactive approach to maintaining accurate records and supporting our commitment to outstanding customer service.</p><h2>Main Responsibilities</h2><ul><li>Chase overdue invoices by telephone, email &amp; letter within agreed timescales</li><li>Releasing held orders on a daily basis</li><li>Taking card payments</li><li>Handle disputed bills to bring payment within the agreed terms and where this fails negotiate repayment plans</li><li>Maintain accurate records of all chasing activity</li><li>Carry out account reconciliations</li><li>Sending customer statements on a weekly basis</li><li>Put together weekly, fortnightly and monthly direct debit runs</li><li>Cash posting and allocations</li><li>Open new accounts and carry out credit checks, filing</li><li>Taking accounts through the legal process</li></ul><h2>You will need</h2><ul><li>Must have experience of working with Credit Insurance</li><li>Minimum 2 year’s experience in credit control</li><li>Intermediate Excel skills required</li><li>Excellent communication skills at all levels</li><li>Strong organisational &amp; time management skills</li><li>Good knowledge of GDPR and Money Laundering regulations &amp; Privacy Data</li><li>Knowledge of credit insurance but not vital</li></ul><h2>What's in it for you</h2><ul><li>Employee discounts after 3 months, such as:</li><li>A Booker colleague card with 10% off purchases at Booker and double discount events up to three times a year.</li><li>A Tesco colleague discount card with 10% increasing to 15% off most purchases at Tesco thirteen times a year.
