<h2>About the role</h2><p>We are looking for a dynamic Warehouse Team Manager to join our team in the Warehouse Department at our Distribution Centre in Hatfield. Reporting directly to the Warehouse Manager, you will play a crucial role in leading and managing a team of warehouse operatives to ensure the efficient and effective operation. &nbsp; Also to achieve operational KPIs to tight deadlines and drive improvements by engaging the team in promoting a positive culture.</p><p>&nbsp;This role does require someone capable of working under pressure, displaying a good analytical approach to work to deliver business results and to achieve performance and service levels. &nbsp;Successful candidates will require some team supervisory / people management experience and working within a team environment.&nbsp;</p><p>There is a need for flexibility as the successful candidate may be required to work on any '5 days from 7' working basis. &nbsp;Hours of work will be predominately be 10pm to 6am but flexibility of hours is required with operational needs and may include weekend working.&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;Full training and development will be given to successful candidate.</p><p><strong>We do not accept applications from candidates residing outside of UK and must be living within a commutable distance.</strong></p><h2>Main Responsibilities</h2><ul><li>To lead and motivate your team to achieve operational goals.</li><li>To manage team performance&nbsp;and provide guidance and support.</li><li>To effectively plan labour and resource to deliver operational requirements in a timely manner whilst meeting agreed KPI’s and Service Levels.</li><li>To ensure compliance&nbsp;with health and safety regulations.</li><li>To co-ordinate and oversee daily warehouse activities.</li></ul><h2>You will need</h2><ul><li>Proven ability to manage and lead a team, however, training will be provided to the right candidate.</li><li>Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to develop self and others.</li><li>Ability to effectively plan labour and resource to deliver operational requirements to a timely manner whilst meeting agreed KPI’s and Service Levels</li><li>Ability to work independently and collaboratively.</li><li>Flexibility with working hours as shifts may vary.</li><li>PC literate in Excel and Word.</li></ul><h2>What's in it for you</h2><p>At Booker, along with being a great place to work and giving you an opportunity to get on in your career, we also offer the following fantastic package of benefits:</p><ul><li>A Booker colleague card with 10% off purchases at Booker and double discount events up to three times a year.</li><li>After 3 months service, a Tesco colleague discount card with 10% increasing to 15% off most purchases at Tesco for a 4 day period after every four-weekly pay day, ie. thirteen times a year.
