We now have more than 70 stores and a thriving website, and the business continues to grow.</p><p class="MsoNormal">Our people are at the heart of our company.&nbsp;&nbsp;With a passion for exceptional service, and a love for our product, our team is dedicated to offering the best customer experience – nothing is too much trouble.</p><p class="MsoNormal"><span>Purpose of the Role:</span></p><p class="MsoNormal">To oversee the month-end cost accrual process including preparation of month end postings, analysis of performance against budget and last year, balance sheet recs and balance sheet review.</p><p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpFirst">·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Taking ownership and responsibility for key account lines within the P&amp;L, ensuring understanding of balances and accuracy of reporting;</p><p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle">·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Ensure all month end cost journals are calculated and processed accurately and on a timely basis for key account lines within the P&amp;L;</p><p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle">·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Explanation of variances compared to budget and last year;</p><p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle">·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Ensure balance sheet reconciliations are completed on a monthly basis, investigate and resolve any variances on a timely basis;</p><p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle">·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Management of Fixed Asset Register including reporting on CAPEX vs budget and liaising with business stakeholders;</p><p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle">·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Assisting in Intercompany reconciliations</p><p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle">·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Assist in year-end audit;</p><p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle">·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Daily and Weekly Sales Reporting – Working alongside other finance team members to ensure the accuracy and delivery of our sales reporting;</p><p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle">·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Commercial Analysis - Supporting ad hoc analysis across the channels: sales, costs and profitability</p><p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle">·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Business Partnering - Building relationships and business partnering across the business to enable a mutual understanding of financial impacts and projections</p><p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpLast">·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Ad hoc reporting and analysis: Review and redesign of reporting, when appropriate, to ensure value-add outputs</p><p class="MsoNormal"><span>Key Skills/Experience:</span></p><p class="MsoNormal"><span>Essential:</span></p><p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpFirst">·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Qualified / Part-qualified and studying towards an accounting qualification (ACCA/ACA/CIMA)</p><p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle">·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Advanced excel skills</p><p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle">·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Attention to detail and accuracy in all outputs</p><p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle">·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Strong communication skills with the ability to work well both within finance and across the business at all levels</p><p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle">·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Pro-active</p><p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle">·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Team player but ability to work independently</p><p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle">·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Ability to multi-task</p><p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle">·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Ability to work well under pressure and to varying deadlines.</p><p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle">·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Good analytical skills and problem solving skills.</p><p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle">·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Good time management and organisation.</p><p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle">·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Flexible in working hours (particularly at month-end).</p><p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle">·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;View to improve procedures including shortening month-end, improve systems and processes where appropriate, to think “outside of the box”.</p><p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle">·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Self-motivated with a positive attitude to work.</p><p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpLast">·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Keen to learn and take on more responsibility.</p><p class="MsoNormal"><span>Desirable:</span></p><p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpFirst">·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Experience working in the retail sector</p><p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpLast">·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Systems Knowledge: Microsoft AX Dynamics, Zap, Workday</p></div></div><!----><!---->
