<h2>About the role</h2><p>Working within the depot reporting to the Operations Managers and Health &amp; Safety Advisor. &nbsp;The Lead Warehouse Trainer will ensure that all training including working processes, manual handling, MHE training is delivered to the required standard and training records are maintained for all Colleagues. &nbsp;The Lead Warehouse Trainer is responsible for delivering professional training and development whilst supporting Managers, Warehouse Trainers and Colleagues in the daily performance of their duties. &nbsp;During peak times you may be required to work within the warehouse and carry out other tasks to support business needs. &nbsp;The role may involve occasional travel to deliver training to other areas of the business and for personal development, including training and meetings.</p><p>Extra responsibility premium will be added on top of hourly wage whilst training</p><h2>Main Responsibilities</h2><ul><li><strong>Induction Training: </strong>Overseeing the induction process and providing induction training to new colleagues on site.</li><li><strong>Practical Training: </strong>Conduct practical sessions to provide a high standard of technical training to support the warehouse operation including LLOPs, FLTs, Powered Pump Trucks (PPTs), and other MHE being used on site.</li><li><strong>Health &amp; Safety: </strong>Ensure all colleagues and trainers are trained and adhere to onsite and machine health and safety regulations and guidelines.</li><li><strong>Proactive Approach: </strong>Support with the delivery of additional training and refresher training of colleagues as and when required.</li><li><strong>Support: </strong>Provide ongoing support throughout inductions and practical training using the correct assessments and evaluations.</li><li><strong>Collaboration: </strong>Work collaboratively with Senior Managers and trainers to ensure all onsite training requirements are covered across all shifts.</li></ul><p><br></p><h2>You will need</h2><p>MHE Training Qualification or working towards one.</p><p>Ability to use Excel, PowerPoint and Word documents.</p><p>Good Presentation Skills to groups and individuals.</p><p>Working knowledge of MHE and other relevant legislation.</p><p>A good knowledge of Health and Safety legislation.</p><p>A passionate and professional approach to health, safety and training, displaying credibility and presence within the warehouse.</p><p>A good technical understanding of all MHE/Warehouse SOP's; counterbalance, reach truck, LLOP, PPT, Pump Truck and Battering changing processes etc.&nbsp;</p><p>Warehouse operational knowledge and good understanding of operational requirements in busy periods.&nbsp;</p><p>A good attention to detail an accuracy with an ability to work on your own initiative.</p><p>Good communication at all levels and organisational skills.&nbsp;</p><h2>What's in it for you</h2><p>At Booker, along with being a great place to work and giving you an opportunity to get on in your career, we also offer the following fantastic package of benefits:</p><ul><li>A Booker colleague card with 10% off purchases at Booker and double discount events up to three times a year.</li><li>After 3 months service, a Tesco colleague discount card with 10% increasing to 15% off most purchases at Tesco for a 4 day period after every four-weekly pay day, ie. thirteen times a year.
